Manufacturing review

The practitioner will visit your site and work with you to assess your manufacturing process and related aspects of your organisation, helping to identify those areas where you can significantly impact on performance and increase profitability. All that is required is time and access to selected key personnel.

"When we started our change process we lacked the knowledge of how to go about successfully introducing lean principles. We needed clear guidance and support and this is what MAS provided, and hopefully will continue to provide. Overall the assembly area has seen a productivity increase by 74%, while floor space utilisation has improved by 45%"

Tony Dewhurst, Operations Director, Piolax UK

Following the visit the practitioner provides a comprehensive report detailing those areas of your business where there is most scope for improvement. You can then implement these improvements, through:

  • DIY Action
Based on the report implement the recommendations yourself using your in-house personnel and expertise
  • Project Work
Retain the services of the practitioner to work with your team to drive through the recommended improvements on an assigned and defined project basis.  Ask us about the project funding available to manufacturers with less than 250 employees.
  • Combination
A mixture of project work and training of key in-house personnel to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to continue the work undertaken
  • Training
Guidance and mentoring of key employees to enable you to develop in-house skills and equip your team with the expertise needed to plan future change and drive improvement projects.
  • Conclusions
An assessment of results is then collected to measure the benefits of project work in the form of cost reduction, increased productivity, reduced lead times, space utilisation and value added per person. These audits prove time and time again how our support services deliver significant bottom line benefits to all types of manufacturing businesses.
