About this course
The Shingo Continuous Improvement Workshop is a two-day programme designed to help leaders, managers and improvement professionals understand the Continuous Improvement dimension of the Shingo Model.
This workshop explores how organisations can move beyond improvement activity alone and instead create behaviours, systems and habits that support a continuous flow of value. It focuses on the principles of Seek Perfection, Embrace Scientific Thinking, Focus on Process, Assure Quality at the Source, and Improve Flow & Pull.
Across the two days, delegates will strengthen their understanding of how principles, systems and behaviours connect, and how well-designed systems can help improvement become part of everyday work.
Who is the course for?
This workshop is designed for delegates who have already completed the Discover Excellence and Systems Design workshops.
It is particularly suitable for senior managers, operational leaders, continuous improvement professionals and those responsible for leading transformation across their organisation.
The workshop is ideal for people who want to develop a deeper understanding of how continuous improvement can be built into daily work, supported by the right systems, behaviours and leadership conditions.

How does it work?
Shingo workshops are typically held from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm in the designated time zone, unless noted otherwise. Discover Excellence is the prerequisite workshop, and Build Excellence is the capstone workshop in the series. In order to maximise the Shingo journey, workshops run in order starting with Discover Excellence, Systems Design and then Cultural Enablers, Continuous Improvement and Enterprise Alignment and finally Build Excellence.
What is the certification?
A certificate of attendance is available to delegates who have attended all the Shingo Systems Design Workshop training days. This is an award from the Shingo Institute and is recognised and highly-respected throughout the manufacturing sector.
