Workshop 2 - Systems Design
Systems Design begins by explaining that all work in an organisation is the outcome of a system. Systems drive the behaviour of people, and variation in behaviour leads to variation in results. Organisational excellence requires well-designed systems to drive ideal behaviours that are required to produce sustainable results.

Are there any prerequisites for attending the workshops?
Yes, before attending the Cultural Enablers, Continuous Improvement, Enterprise Alignment, or Build Excellence workshops, participants must first complete Discover Excellence and Systems Design. These foundational workshops provide essential learning required for the subsequent sessions.
Can I join the series if I have already completed one or more of the workshops?
Yes! If you have previously attended one or more Shingo workshops, you can still join the series. The total programme cost will be adjusted based on the workshops you have already completed. Contact The Manufacturing Institute for a personalised cost breakdown.
Is the Shingo Workshop Series available internationally?

How long does it take to complete the Shingo Workshop Series?
The series is structured to be completed within 12 months. Each of the six workshops lasts for two days, with a flexible schedule designed to fit around professional commitments.
Do I save money buying all workshops in one package?
Yes! Individually, workshops normally cost £1,295 +VAT, so attending all six individually would cost £7,770 +VAT.
This full series costs £6,499 +VAT, saving you £1,271.
What happens after I complete all six workshops?
Upon completion of all six workshops, you will become part of the Shingo Alumni, a globally recognised community of continuous improvement professionals dedicated to operational excellence.
What happens if I miss one of the workshop dates?
To become a Shingo alumni, you must attend all sessions. However, if you cannot attend one of the workshop dates, we will arrange for you to attend the next available workshop.
