Our Six Sigma Black Belt programme is essential for those who want a lead role in Six Sigma application and deployment within their organisations. Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of all the sessions, you will have built on existing Green Belt capability. Our Black Belt course covers advanced technical subjects such as the Analysis of Variance and Design of Experiments within the DMAIC methodology, plus how to lead teams, facilitate workshops, coach others and manage change to maximise the cultural mindset and the effectiveness of collective improvement efforts.
Six Sigma Black Belt Fellowship Certification
Directly following the programme, delegates have the option to complete a Fellowship, a recognition scheme based around the successful implementation of a work-based improvement project, which enables the continued, practical momentum of the skills developed during the training days. The Fellowship is an award of the Manufacturing Institute and is subject to terms and conditions.

How does it work?
The course runs between 8.00 am to 4.00 pm over 6-days x 2 blocks of 3 sessions (8 hours per session)
What is the entry-level requirement?
Delegates must complete a Six Sigma Green Belt programme, preferably with the Manufacturing Institute, as they are complimentary. This training appeals to strong and confident communicators with leadership potential or experience who have an analytical mindset and adequate numeracy skills.
What does it include?
Includes access to materials, direction and support on our virtual learning environment (VLE) It’s Learning.
What are the pre-course requisites?
To gain the most from this programme, delegates should have green belt certification, enjoy an analytical challenge, be confident with numeracy, possess familiarity with Minitab® or an alternative data management tool and be on a leadership trajectory.
What is the certification?
A certificate of attendance is available to delegates who have attended all the Six Sigma Black Belt training days. For delegates embarking on a Fellowship, a certificate of completion is awarded subject to total course attendance and final project assessment. These are awards from The Manufacturing Institute.
What is a Six Sigma Black Belt Fellowship?
Following this programme, delegates have the opportunity to complete a Six Sigma Black Belt Fellowship, a recognition scheme based on the successful implementation of two work-based improvement projects. Black Belt certification is subject to successful project completion where delegates can demonstrate a practical understanding of supporting systems, tools, philosophies and principles. The Fellowship is an award from The Manufacturing Institute.
