Ian is a Lean Manufacturing expert with over fifteen years’ experience of implementing continuous improvement methodologies across a wide variety of industrial sectors with a proven track record of achieving results. He has used his skills to provide transformational advice and support to manufacturing companies of all sizes and has also gained experience deploying Lean in the Healthcare sector. During a career spent wholly in Manufacturing, he has gained vast experience and has held senior managerial positions within various industries.
Ian was a former Manufacturing Advisor/Business Growth Manager/Commercial Manufacturing Advisor at GM Business Solutions primarily employed in the delivery of the government’s Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) contract in the North West region, Ian’s main responsibilities were: working with a multitude of different companies, of varying sizes and differing industry sectors, advising them and supporting them with regard to all aspects of business improvement.
Ian has worked with The Manufacturing Institute for over twenty years delivering lean and CI training. His achievements while working with The Manufacturing Institute include: project managing a comprehensive Lean factory transformation resulting in multi-million pounds worth of savings through increased factory capacity, 35% productivity improvement and 40% stock reduction and generating additional capacity within a machine based sheeting department which led to £4 Million increase in sales.
